We’ve all had the experience.
You take what you think is a wonderful, picture perfect shot just to realize too late that something showed up in the frame that you didn’t intend to include in your picture.
But there’s good news. Content Aware Fill is a feature in Photoshop CS5 and in later versions of the software and, to a limited extent, in Photoshop Elements starting in version 9.
Content Aware allows you to remove a portion of your image and replace the deleted area with pixels that match the surrounding scene. The tool is really remarkable in it’s ability to match colors, lighting and tone to make it appear as if the unwanted part of your photo was never there. It’s almost like magic. And it’s quick and easy too.
