Nikon has just announced the release of the Nikon D810.

The D810 is a replacement for both the D800and D800E with significant improvements on each. Among the refinements is a revamped and souped-up engine. The new camera boasts an improved processor—the new EXPEED 4 image processor—that is more sensitive, speedier and offers greater noise reduction capabilities. Specifically, the D810 features a wider ISO sensitivity range ISO (64-12800) and is said to be 25 to 30% faster (the burst mode speed is one frame per second faster) over the previous 800-series cameras. The new camera also offers an improved autofocus system and the ability to record full HD video with a built-in stereo recording.

All in all, it sounds like a lot of fun!
The D810 is currently available for preorder. It’s priced at $3,296.95 body-only, and is expected to ship with delivery on or around July 17, 2014.
